EA is considering giving their players some compensation for all of the launch issues. This is one of the reasons I've always liked Dice. I've heard that the devs have also talked about adding private games because of the popular support for it. Private games and air superiority are the two updates I want BF3 to have.
About getting MW3, as of right now, I am not going to get it. I've heard from some of my friends that it is actually pretty good. I am not going to deny that, but I will say that it does not look that appealing to me. It just doesn't look appealing for me. When I buy new games, I like when it has sleek menus and appealing to the eye. Just like the Reach and BF3 menus. CoD has been running on pretty much the same engine for years. I have one question. Why would I spend 60 dollars for a game when I already have something just as similar: CoD 4. I see CoD as a social game. I don't really take competitive CoD seriously. It just doesn't involve as much strategy as other games and definitely not as entertaining to watch. I play CoD to have a good time with friends. I might get MW3 when it goes drops price, which is going to be a long time.
My whole CoD view is similar to my view on the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4S only has two new features, but people will still upgrade from the iPhone 4 to the 4S. I see it as a waste of money. Also, what really urks me is how both brag about how innovative they are. When games start to churn out every year, the quality goes down. I would rather have a new game from a series every two years then one, because the game WILL be better. CoD isn't the only game that has turned into this. Halo is starting to face this problem as well. Ever since ODST, their games just haven't really appealed to me. The Call of Duty series have become a money churning machine. I wouldn't be so frustrated if they actually did innovate and change up the game. MW3 is just easy money for them. If they called this a CoD4 remake (like Halo Anniversary) and only make it 40 bucks, I would be less mad as well.
BF3 is something fresh, new, and fun for me. It brings so many new features to the regular FPS and has me hooked. I just wish more people played it.
